About Cam Myers
I began my culinary career washing dishes at Sheldrake Point Winery on Cayuga Lake at 14. From there, I learned the basics of food prep and garde manger which I took to various other restaurants in the region. This gave me the opportunity to work under great chef/owners like Daño Hutnik (Daños Heuriger) and Scott Signori (The Stonecat Cafe.) I also worked at various greasy spoon diners like Manos and Sunset Grill (both in Ithaca, NY)
Upon moving to Syracuse to play drums for a nationally touring band, I began work at Blarney Stone, where I was able to travel the country for weeks at a time and still have a job waiting for me when I returned. When the band was no longer active, I sought employment at the most popular/successful restaurants in Syracuse.
I was lead Saute cook at Pastabilities, sous Chef at Lemongrass and Francesca’s, and most recently the Executive Chef for Oh My Darling. In the approximately 1.5 years I spent there, I won multiple Winterfest cook-off competitions (1st Place Presentation Chili, 3rd Place Chowder) as a first year contestant. I also helped secure a contract for Live Nation, cooking for all of the artists at St Joseph’s Amphitheater during their Summer Concert series.
I have a popular hip hop band “A Kid Called Danger” that just released our first full-length album, a 9 year old bullboxer named “Sancho” and I enjoy tequila and stand-up comedy.
